The Sql Data Source and Object Data Source controls are the two most commonly used data source controls, and they provide a means for retrieving and modifying data from either a database or object library, respectively.
But when inserting into the database, I might get an error. But how do I return some data back into the aspx file?
This post was going to be a rant about how using the Object Data Source was impossible to handle exceptions thrown while retrieving or updating data.
After some experiments and reading some misleading posts I saw only three possible ways: Luckily I accidentally found the right way to do it while looking at the Event Args class properties for the Selected event.
You can also have radio button's giving the user the option to specify from where he want's the value.
Thank you TBohnen, what i actually did was used your Logic and got the idea, I added dropdownlist_selectedindexchanged event ...
